Hi, I’m Dave ‘DJ’ Thompson the founder of Baldman Books. Ever since I was a kid growing up in country NSW books have been a constant presence in my life. Back then I read pretty much everything, but the books that fostered a lifelong love of history are the ones I remember most fondly; Arthur Mee’s The Children’s Encyclopedia, Ian Serraillier’s The Silver Sword, 1066 and All That, and The Finding Out Book of Battles, to name just a few. One of the great joys of reading history is that one book invariably leads to another. My hope is you experience that moment of joy finding the perfect book at Baldman Books.
